PROTOTYPING | ACES IN THE COCKPIT
The process of prototyping has proven to be a time consuming stage. All the custom made components slowly start to arrive, with each one giving us a better insight into its (dys)function within the integral ‘Aces in the Cockpit’ assembly.
Sorting, admiring but eventually fitting the sub-assemblies to get a first glimpse of the concept. And as a 'proof of concept' should, it made us aware of some flaws, faulty tolerances, or plain stupid mistakes. This meant we had to rethink, re-engineer, adjust, improve and replace some parts...
While revised parts were on their way, we managed to start with the painstaking job of spoking our freshly machined hubs onto the rim-style legs.
We even had to take the self-flagellation up a level, when we concluded that the chassis needed the slightest narrowing and shortening to make its stance just that tiny bit better. And subsequently, we also had to completely redesign and re-produce all the desktop components...
Well...plenty of things to do, but finally the pace is turned up a notch. So do keep an eye on the news page, as many more updates are coming very soon!
