LA STORIA
The term 'Hypercar' came with the introduction of the Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT, Lamborghini Murcielago, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and eventually the Bugatti Veyron. It superseded 'Supercar' label attributed to icons like the Ferrari F40, Porsche 959 and Lamborghini Countach in the 80s, as well as the Ferrari F50, McLaren F1 and the Jaguar XJ220 in the 90s.
During the 00s all established and new brands were overpassing one another with ever more crazy carbon creations. Active aerodynamics, immense downforce, carbon monocoques and bodywork, swiveling wingdoors, 700+ horsepower (turbocharged) engines combined with additional electrical horses and dual-clutch gearboxes all became the benchmark in this ever evolving king-of-the-hill frenzy.
The name 'Triple C' is derived from those 'Crazy Carbon Creations'. Its subtitle 'Hyper Carbonia, Black Gold Mania' expresses the shifting of focus towards a rather image driven, media dependent, ultimate luxury product. The Triple C desk expresses this explicit audacity in the design language of the iconic hypercars of the late 00s through to the mind boggling hype-cars of the early 2020s.
In this fast shifting age of media, the inspiration for us to design this sub-zero desk keeps evolving as well.
CARBON TUB
The carbon tub is the structural backbone of the desk. Similar to the architecture of hypercars, all peripheral components are mounted to this rigid carbon monocoque. Made entirely from carbon fibre, the tub ensures the overall structural rigidity of the desk without compromising the sleek silhouette of the design.
SUBFRAME
Inspired by the elaborate subframes of the latest hypercars, our anodized aluminium subframes are bolted directly to the tub. These structural elements ensure that the legs can be firmly mounted to the desk, but they also provide a visually stunning spectacle in themselves.
UNDERBODY
The flat underbody panel is a separate carbon piece that adds instant visual recognition of the hypercar theme. Where the real deal is purely functional, on our Triple C desk it evokes these characteristic hypercar visuals of diffusers, air ducts and vanes.
CLAMSHELL BONNET
Tilting canopies, dual-hinged scissor doors and clamshell bonnets are no exceptions on the outlandish designs of the hypercar era. The Triple C desk mimics these bold statements by dividing the sleek carbon body into two clamshells that open up in a spectacular wing-like gesture. Once opened they reveal both storage compartments in the carbon tub.
DUCTS & VENTS
Aerodynamics became paramount as the hypercars got more and more extreme in terms of power and speed. The ducts and vents to enable both airflow and cooling became an integral design feature throughout the hypercar archetype. The Triple C desk incorporates this feature in the see-thru vents in the anodized aluminium legs and in the underbody side ducts, exiting through the grille above the front and rear diffusers.
CARBON FIBRE
Hypercars are synonymous for the extensive use of carbon fibre. This material gained popularity for its amazing mechanical properties. In the hypercar era, however, this was gradually surpassed by the visual appeal, expressing exclusivity and opulence due to its high price. True to its name, the Triple C desk is an elaborate display of high end carbon fibre components.
ENQUIRIES
The Triple C is a unique bespoke desk, strictly limited to ## one-off editions. Besides the color, we can adjust multiple variables to your very own requirements. All of the colors, materials and personal details will be carefully composed with each client, to create their personal version of the Triple C. Each desk is made-to-order, hence we do not keep any stock.
